Help me with my dilemma please!

Hey guys, here’s my problem: I’m stuck between choosing regular decision or early decision for Cornell University. If I do early decision with a deadline of November 1, I’ll have to send in my not-so-stellar SAT subject tests of Math 1(720) and Biology (730). If I do regular decision, I’ll have time to retake the SAT subject tests and hopefully get a 750+ in Biology and Math 2. My question is: Will the chances of me getting into Cornell be higher if I did ED with my bad SAT II subject scores, or will my chances of acceptance be higher if I retook them and did better and applied regular decision? And does Cornell place a high emphasis on SAT II subject scores?

I’m really interested in Cornell University, as it has everything I want: a great educational opportunity and a beautiful campus with a mix of rural and suburban qualities.

Please respond quickly as the ED deadline is only 2 days away. I thank you very much in advance.

Here is some additional info (if it makes any difference):

Thank you very much for reading and good luck to all who are applying!

i heard that if sat2s are over 700 they dont mean much. meaning that they can help you but rarely hurt you. domt know about cornell too much but you should be okay

Thank you very much for the reply UrbanNight. I did some research and dug up some old CC threads and found out that Cornell does accept November SAT II scores for ED. However, these threads are about a year or two old. Can anyone confirm that what I found out is true?

Well I found a few posts that might help you make up your mind
On cornells site, it says that they strongly urge you to send in october. But since it doesnt say mandatory, I guess they accept them: [Early Decision | Undergraduate Admissions Office](http://blogs.cornell.edu/admissions/2011/09/02/early-decision/)

Also, in a CC post from a few months back people say it is ok:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/1210245-will-november-sat-scores-ready-time-early-decision.html</a></p>

I am not sure which is better to do since I am not looking at Cornell. From my completely unprofessional opinion, I think you SAT I are really good. That being said, the rest of your app may be a bit of a reach. But I’m not sure.

Also, could you please chance me at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1233618-chance-me-i-chance-back-please-drexel-swarthmore-bu-bsmd.html</a></p>

Thanks for all the links, Almo. They were really helpful. Since my question is pretty much answered and I think I will apply ED, I’d like for people to chance me for Cornell ED. I’ll chance back if a link is provided.

Good luck with your application!! :)

Thank you! Good luck to you with your applications as well.
