help me with my future?

I'm about to be a senior at a top 20 private school, I have a 3.75 gpa, 163 LSAT. I could probably retake the LSAT and get a few points higher...but whatever. I'm from a more bucolic part of Southern Indiana, have great work experience and recs and all that jazz. I think i've mapped out my choices below, but was wondering if anyone had any comments about it in favor of or against

Reaches

USC
UCLA
Georgetown
UPenn (rec from famous alum)
NYU

(Cornell)

Matches

UT Austin
Vanderbilt (i go here now)
UC Boulder
WUSTL
GWU
Fordham

Safeties

IU Bloomington (instate)
UC Hastings
Umiami

Most of those “matches” are not really “matches.” I would say your reaches are super high reaches, and basically all most all of your matches are pretty big reaches as well especially UT, Vandy, and WUSTL. Fordham and GWU will be tough as well.

As NDjake noted,

Your reaches are, unfortunately, unreachable

Your matches are definitely reaches, and your safeties are your matches.

well that’s really lame. what if I had, say, a 167 or 8?

I also published a novel while in school. Does that help?

Unless your novel was a best seller, I don’t think it’ll carry a lot of weight. LS seems to mostly about the numbers.

With a 167 or 168, Fordham and GWU are probably going to admit you as well we UC Boulder. I think you could even get into some of your other “matches.” With a 163 I would try GW’s part time program.
