Help me with my high school physics project!

<p>I need to make an electrical device of any sort, since were learning about voltage, watts, circuits, that stuff. I can order a kit if i want to, but I really don't feel like blowing money on this. can anyone think of a <em>high school honors</em> level device that's easy/cheap to create?</p>

<p>Build a small radio, you don't need a kit for it.</p>
