Good day ladies and gentlemen,
My name is Michael. I am from Tbilisi, Georgia. Born in Aleppo Syria. I am now in my 12th grade therefor I am now searching and deciding which universities to apply for. Currently the top spot on my list is taken by NYUAD "New York University Abu Dhabi". Everything that they offer is perfect for me. I speak 5 languages, English, Arabic, French, Russian, and Georgian. I am starting now 2 more languages, which are Turkish and Hebrew. I was living in Syria for 16 years. I went to an international school, curriculum was fully in English. I moved to Georgia 2 years ago and joined the same school. Here I decided to take on Cambridge A Levels. Now that I chose NYUAD they prefer SAT. So I said why not I'll do SAT because admissions are till 1 January and A Levels require time and I can take them only in summer of 2015 which is late. Anyways 1 week ago a representative from NYUAD flew to Georgia and met with me. She really liked me and thought that I can be accepted without any trouble. I want to do International Relations/Political Science. As I heard NYUAD acceptance rate is really low to 2.9%. I heard I would have higher chances in Harvard. Apart from that I stand out in my school as far as I am the number one student in my class and in the whole school. I took part twice in the IYIPO "International Young Inventors Project Olympiad". I created a robot and an android application to run on smartphone for that robot. I have received certificates and awards. Also here I attend all types of seminars and lectures in various subjects. Currently I am translating a book from Georgian to English for a famous Poet in Georgia. My hobby is programming. In childhood I wanted to become a programmer as it is very easy for me and I have certificates and achievements. I hope this information can be read by the admissions office of any university, I mean they don't just look at SAT scores. My school GPA is at its fullest which is 9.9/10 (I don't know how much is that on USA scale). For now I will have TOEFL and SAT ready for my Early Decision I. Also I will complete my A Levels. Sorry for writing my whole life story, my questions are that Do I have a chance to get into NYUAD? Their representative has praised me really well. If not NYUAD which other universities do I have a shot at? Please keep in mind that my family cannot afford my education, therefore I'll need some kind of financial aid around 90-100%. I have just started SAT and I have little more than 2 month till the exam which is on 11th October. I am doing pretty well now and will improve with time. So please tell me what do you think about me, my future, and where do you suggest I should apply and can apply. Thank you in advance, have a good day.
