Help me with the Official SAT Study Guide book?

Yeah I hear that they update the SAT study books and stuff.

Amazon.com: The Official SAT Study Guide (9780874477184): The College Board: Books

Is this the correct book? Or is there some other either better or more updated or w.e.

Also, does this book only provide tests for practice, or do they actually kinda teach u what to do? like a chemistry for idiots type 'how-to' thing?

Thanks!!!

[The Official SAT Study Guide ™: Second Edition](<a href=“Store App”>Store App)

BUMP. How about this one as well? (same thing?)

You want the second edition.

Second edition? Aight then. Mind explaining what’s actually in the book other than practice tests while ur here? I’d like something that can actually like teach me things that id need rather than just some prac. tests

The Blue Book has some review material, but its real value is in the practice tests (which have complementary explanations online).

i’ve heard about the princeton review’s book better in that section, ill prolly end up getting both or something

[The Princeton Review | Bookstore | Cracking the SAT, 2010 Edition](<a href=“The Princeton Review”>The Princeton Review)

Any1 know if this is the PR book everyone’s talkin about for the SAT’s

And if this:
[The Princeton Review | Bookstore | Cracking the ACT, 2010 Edition](<a href=“The Princeton Review”>The Princeton Review)
is the one for the ACT (i know its the SAT forum but if u kno itd b nice)

Well, idk what everyone’s talking about, but I will tell you what your given PR SAT book will tell you.

That book will tell you tips and tricks to do well on the SATs. 7/8 of them are basic common sense. I took the PR course, and felt like I didn’t learn a thing. PRACTICE is the only thing.

Now if you honestly feel like you need advice, then just borrow one of the older editions from a library, and read it (or go to Borders and spend the day reading the book). The tips don’t change, just the sample questions.

I don’t know about the ACTs, sorry man.

So what do u expect for some1 who just wants to start learning the material Brownman?

^For Writing, use [SAT: Improve SAT Score with SparkNotes: Meet the Writing Section](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)
For math and critical reading, it’s all just practice, practice, practice. Be sure to check our Noitaraperp’s guide for CR: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/750399-how-attack-sat-critical-reading-section-effectively.html</a>
Other than that, you should have learned the material in school.
Good Luck!! :)
