<p>In my sophomore year, I received a D in one of my classes. This summer, I'm going to retake the course. Will the UC's omit the D and take my new grade?</p>

Do I calculate and report my GPA to the UC's or do I have to send my transcript for them to calculate my gpa?</p>

<p>you self report on your application and if you get admitted, then you must send in your transcript …
and you get hosed if they find any discrepancies …</p>
<p>For meeting minimums to qualify for admission to a UC, they use grade after the retake of the class as long as retake is completed before beginning of senior year. For determining admission to a particular UC, that UC can consider that you had to retake and that initial grade was bad.</p>
