<p>I was deferred at USF and people tell me LMU is harder to get into. Is that true ? LMU is one of my top choices. My essays, grades, and ecs are solid. My ACT score is bad though.....:*( Do I still have a chance or am I just done and rejected? thank you!</p>

<p>Well, of course you have a chance…but what are your stats? Saying solid grades doesn’t help much. And what major?</p>
<p>And you still have a chance at USF (which you seem to like better) so don’t freak out. Being deferred means that they like you but couldn’t completely make up their minds about you.</p>

<p>I think the reason you are not getting much help is that you are not sharing much about yourself on any of your threads. Anyway, SCU admission stats are about the same; maybe slightly higher GPA and SAT at SCU, especially in engineering, but LMU might have a lower admit rate, in spite of it’s slightly larger size. I think their location helps. NYU is quite a bit harder, stats and admit rate wise, and UCLA is also quite a bit harder, primarily as measured by admit rate, but average GPA and SAT, and especially curriculum rigor is more competitive too. My D was rejected from UCLA with a 3.9/4.1, and a 2000+ SAT, although she was instate, and that was several years ago. </p>
<p>I don’t know about USF, but I know it is not ranked as highly as SCU,Gonzaga, and LMU.</p>
<p>I too, hope you have some good options, but a $50k scholly at Willamette sounds like a great one.</p>
