As an IB student who has also had trouble with scheduling in the past, I’d suggest getting a class tutored after school/doing it online. I know it’s not nearly as common as with APs, but there are ways to work it out. My issue was that I wanted to take an eighth class, so I got a teacher to agree to tutor me after school, following the curriculum and doing all the school work and then taking the exam at the end of the year. So yeah, it’s ambitious - you’re essentially taking an additional class instead of replacing one - and you’ll have to get a bunch of people to approve. Hopefully, if you’re persuasive enough and willing to put the time in, this can serve as a potential solution.
Good luck!

*easiest classes to get tutored are languages, little extra work.
