This whole semester basically I have been having problems with my motivation. I have close to no motivation whatsoever. Last year I was the top of every class and got a 95+ in every class. Now, I have all low As and a B. I'm starting to freak out because my grades keep going down but I have no motivation to do anything about it. I really want to go to NYU and am in love with New York and I have to get a scholarship because my parents refuse to basically pay for it. I beg of you to please help me with my motivation. I have a 6 page essay due Monday and another essay also due Monday but I just keep looking at the computer screen. PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY MOTIVATION

If you’re starting to procrastinate, here’s some advice from a pretty big procrastinator:

Don’t try to run away from procrastination. Perfect it. Know how your school schedule works (if you don’t do your work the night before) and do class homework at certain times that work for you.

Trust me, it works for me. I haven’t done homework the night before all year, even Physics lab reports or take-home tests.

What grade are you in? That could have something to do with it. If you’re a senior then it sounds like you’ve caught senioritis.

If you haven’t been already accepted to NYU, however, you may want to think hard about what you want out of school. Outline your goals on a sheet of paper, both long-term (e.g. in a few years) and short-term (e.g. weeks, months).

Tape the paper on your bathroom mirror to remind yourself of your goals every morning.

You are most likely to fall into the path of hard drugs. I would get help from an adult and kiss college chances goodbye. Might as well enroll in rehab now. Please update me on your project progress. Heroin isn’t for everyone.
