I have got offers from the following universities and would appreciate if someone would guide me as to which uni to choose on the basis of intl reputation, location, ease of finding jobs ....my offers are- Bristol uni(accounting and finance),durham uni (accounting and finance),uni of bath (bba),bocconi uni italy (economics and finance),uni of melbourne(bcom),uni of sydney(economics and finance),uni of Edinburg (accounting and finance) . I have seen that the australian unis fare well in the international rankings but am not too sure about their reputation abroad.bocconi is supposed to be a good uni for economics but is it really good for an intll student?on the other hand the league tables in the uk tell a different story from the world rankings.please help.......

Next time, try a more descriptive title so people will open your thread. Everyone who posts here needs ‘help’. This board is US oriented so not many people will know much about the colleges you mention. I know Univ of Edinburg is supposed to be excellent but I am not familiar with your field. You might try the international student forum.

All your unis are respectable, and none of them is so famous that the name will carry everywhere in the world (Edinburgh is probably the most familiar name to most people, and that’s really b/c of the city more than the unie).

So, start by eliminating. First, for all of them your chances of getting a job will be best in the home country of the uni, so the first question is: which of those countries are you eligible to work in? eliminate any where you do not have working papers. Second, look at the courses: at least for the 4 UK unis, you can see pretty much all of the classes that you will be taking for each subject- do any look more attractive than others? Eliminate the less attractive one(s). Next, take a look at finances: is there a material difference in the costs, and are there any that involve debt? Eliminate those that will leave you in debt. See what you are left with, and how they appeal to you.
