Hey guys,
My situation is really complex right now. I am going to graduate 12th grade this year and I don’t have the right SAT score. So what i am thinking of doing is to skip one year and apply for colleges in the 2015 - 2016 year. So i just wanted to know that if we skip a year does it affect your college admission ?
Please feel free to post what you think…
If you skip a year and do something unique and interesting in that year, that might even help with admission. If youjust skip a year to improve your SATs, that’s not very good
That is called a Gap Year, google it.
Right score for what??
I agree-- how do you define “the right score”??
And what would you do over that gap year? Work? Where? What do your parents think of the idea? How would that gap year help you in terms of next year’s college applications? How would you improve your scores on the next round of SATs??
Keep in mind that the SAT is changing – next spring I believe. So you might want to take the next round of SATs EARLY in the year, so that the prep you’ve done in the past still applies.
Yea I am planning to take some internships that I have found in my locality.
