Help me.

Okay.. so I just realized that I really need to start the process of applying right now. (As in setting up interviews, ordering viewbooks, etc.) I still haven't decided what schools I'm applying to, which is why I need your help.

Things I'd like:

Amazing academics, specifically foreign languages, english, and history programs.

Good swimming programs. A lot of athletic opportunities

Close to a medium sized city. (Not absolutely necessary).

Great facilities. (Athletic, Academic, Dorms, etc.)

I'm pretty sure I'm applying to SPS, Andover, Deerfield, and Exeter. Could anyone comment on how those schools are according to my criteria?

I know I shouldn't base my decisions on what you guys say, but I don't have enough time/money to tour 20 schools in one weekend.

You post way too much on this forum about the same stupid crap. You already had a thread exactly like this one, and people gave you good advice. You spend too much time here, when you could be swimming, self-studying, etc. And what's really ridiculous is that you say ur studying 3 languages whereas you clearly do not have enough time to do that, considering how much time you spend on here. Just take a break and go record your community service hours, preppy.

bumpp. .

Amazing Academics -

It's safe to say that all of the schools you mentioned have great academic programs all-around. Like you, I'm very interested in foreign languages, english and history. Based on my experience so far, Andover has been a great fit in these subjects. They have courses on every topic imaginable in english/history and they have a good diversity of languages. I'm sure St. Pauls, Exeter and Deerfield also have strong programs, I'm just speaking about what I know about Andover.

Swimming Programs-
Out of your four schools, the two best swimming programs are Exeter and Andover. Exeter has really dominated the New England Prep League boy's swimming over the last decade, however Andover seems to be inching closer every year. This year was the first time in a while they beat Exeter in a head-to-head dual meet.
Deerfield has a competitive swim program; they came in 6th in Interschols championships.
St. Pauls does not offer a competitive swimming team.

For swimming, Id say Andover + Exeter are your best beat. Academics, all of them. Great facilities, probably all of them. Exeter has a really cool science center... Andover has a great library. And for a small city.----> EXETER IS ADORABLE. The town is so cute. The Andover town is about the same size but not cute. Well, nvm, youll see when you get there. Good luck!

I would put Peddie on your list- we mentioned this before. It is tops for swimming and is an awesome school. Mercersburg has a strong swimming program, too, but it is in the middle of nowhere.

Okay, thanks.

Anyone else?

Also, why doesn't St. Paul's have a competitive swimming program? Are they working on getting one?

Deerfield may have the best swimming facility of any school, and it has a long tradition of dominance in the sport, with countless New England championships.

I'm leaning towards SPS, Andover, and Deerfield as my top three. I just want to add some schools that I'll have a better chance of getting into.

if you're really set on attending bs, you may want to expand your list.
are you applying for financial aid?
.. and how big would you like your school to be?

No, I'm not applying for financial aid.

I'd like to school to have around 500 - 1000 students.

Okay, so these are the schools I'm definitely applying to.

Andover

SPS

Deerfield

Exeter

Choate

Maybe's...

Peddie

Lawrenceville

Hotchkiss

Hill

Taft

Loomis

Could anyone recommend any others?
