HELP! Might get offer rescinded

I was accepted to UIUC in December and I self reporting my grades. I may have exaggerated a little. For one class I ad a 78 one semester and an 80 another semester. I put my grade as a B-. Once they receive my official transcript, do you think that they'll take away my admission? Should I email them?

That wasn’t exaggerating, that was straight up lying. Colleges allow self reporting with the assumption that applicants will be honest. Calling them won’t help now. When they realize you lied, your acceptance will definitely be rescinded. Find some last minute CCs to apply to.

so one class that’s not even related to my major that’s off by one point is all it takes?

how do you view your application after your admitted i just wanna make sure i made no error when reporting scores

*grades not scores

@benh10 I have the same exact situation. I know I reported my grades accurately and even checked with my transcript a few times. Though…it’s just so easy to make a mistake that I’d like to put my paranoia (it would be devastating to be rescinded by my dream school) to rest by checking for myself again.

There’s no way to check, and that’s why I’m worried because I actually don’t know whether or not I put b- or c+ for that class

go to reddit.com/r/uiuc and ask, they have a super active subreddit, and a lot of current students. A lot of them have experience with admissions. I’ll be interested in reading your post there. Also from what I’ve heard, they aren’t super crazy about it because they would be rescinding every student who made a small error. I tried searching of a case where someone did get their offer rescinded because of the self reported transcript, but had no luck. Probably because each one is about a paranoid student worried about getting a C! lol…Anyways the SRAR is still enough to make many paranoid, like me lol

you will be fine… they have thousands of students and to think they go through each persons grades and resend admission is a little but crazy. If anything call them and tell them you made a mistake and entered the wrong grade in. Dont worry about it

If it was getting mixed up between an 81 and 82 (both B- s) then it wold not be a big deal. But a couple of points changing an entire letter grade may make them think you were lying and yes they might rescind your application. However, if you contact them and tell them your situation ahead of time they will most likely be understanding.

If it’s a minor difference and does not reek of dishonesty, I doubt you will have a problem.
