Hi CCers!

I - oops - sent my SAT scores for a few colleges (that i'd really like to get into) a few days late.
How big a problem is this? Will I be penalized?

Help, please!

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry at all.

It is dependant upon your SAT scores.

hehe..the 3 colleges i applied can even accept my Jan. SAT

Thank you!

For what it's worth, my official SAT score reports were received by Harvard on December 13th and I was notified of my acceptance on the 14th. I realized I hadn't sent them and freaked out, but apparently it didn't matter.

I think you'll be OK. If not, well then there's not much to do now.

I don't think it's a problem. The schools won't even notice if the scores are there by the time your file is reviewed. If they aren't at that point, the school will contact you. But it takes quite a while for schools to wade through everything, creating files, sorting information, etc. It takes more than a few days!

We asked ACT to send scores in a timely fashion and most colleges got them, but two did not (or lost them). Both places contacted us and the scores were resent.

Similarly, Brown didn't have one of my daughter's recommendations and we didn't find out until the beginning of March. They got a duplicate and she was admitted.

You mean you got accepted to Harvard without them knowing your SAT scores for sure?

love that story from Harvard.

thanks everyone!
