HELP! Mistake on App; To notify or to not

So on my awards part of the application and resume, I wrote that I received a AP Scholar with Distinction Award when I really only had an AP Scholar with Honor Award. (<a href="https://apscore.collegeboard.org/scores/ap-awards/ap-scholar-awards)I%5B/url%5D">https://apscore.collegeboard.org/scores/ap-awards/ap-scholar-awards)I</a> just realized this and I am so depressed.

Ugh, this is killing me! Do you think that if I get deferred, I should reach out to the school and warn them of my mistake?

3 schools have this false date (1 reach, 1 target, 1 safety), but only one of them has my unofficial AP scores.

I applied to all of these schools EA and will be getting decisions very soon. What should I do?!? So should I follow up?

Yes I think you should notify them of the error. It probably won’t make much difference but you can rest easy that they have correct info.

You should notify them. Normally, small mistakes like this aren’t a big deal and don’t warrant notification. But the colleges are well acquainted with the AP Scholars program and will look at your AP scores and know that your info is false – you don’t want them to think you made this error with intent.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions! My parents don’t think I should notify, but I will. It was an honest mistake and I don’t want them to think I lied.
