Hi I am currently a junior that is searching for summer programs to apply for. This is my first time (regrettably) applying for these summer programs and I am stuck between MIT Women Technology Program and Girls Who Code and I plan to apply for both (just in case I don’t make it into one of them). I expect to learn a decent amount of coding and computer science from both programs but if I would like to know how competitive both programs are. If I was accepted into both which one would be the smarter choice in terms of experience, computer knowledge, and how it shows on college apps.
I suggest Girls Who Code, it’s a really nice program.
It will look very good if you intend to take a computer science major in college/uni.
Especially under the education and personal projects b/c they do that.
Also, this program shows you actual coding, it doesn’t focus on math and such like MIT W Tech.
Goodluck!
