Help. Mixed stats. Looking for as prestigious as possible.

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for any advice I may receive. All responses are welcome.

Due to my circumstances in High School I wasn’t very focued and ended up graduating with a 1.8GPA. My ACT score was a 23 and I am considering retaking it.

Currently entering 2nd year at my CC:
GPA: 4.0 (28 credit hours)
EC’s: Captain of my schools speech teams, numerous public speaking awards, associate of Phi Rho Pi, member of PTK, Honors college, Deans list, Honors Scolars (includes full ride and paid internship), and am a peer writing tutor.

I would like to pursue graduate work in Philosophy, but I feel that since it’s so competitive I need to go to as prestigious a school as possible for my BPhil. If someone could give me some prospective schools for someone with stats like mine it would be much appreciated.

What does the transfer advisor at your CC have to say about this? Many of them are really savvy about their top student’s options.

University of Pittsburgh would be great for philosophy and Bphil, but could you afford it?

Eh. I would definitely be in a good amount of debt if I were to go to Pitt, but it may be worth it due to their prestigious graduate options for philosophy. Currently my top option is a local liberal arts college that may offer me a full ride ($55,000 a year), and they have a study abroad program at Oxford that I plan on applying for. I want to keep my options open though.
