HELP! Music supplement?

<p>I have played violin for seven years, and I'm fairly accomplished at it (state youth symphony, concertmistress at school)- which is why I was planning on recording myself and sending it to a bunch of different colleges as supplements...but after reading the Yale supplement policy website, which states like 3 times NOT to send stuff unless you're absolutely amazing, I'm torn.</p>

<p>Is it worth it to send a recording? Or will this only hurt my chances of admission?</p>

<p>^Not necessarily true, particularly at Yale, and a few of the other Ivys. </p>
