Help!! My chances?

Hello peoples

International student here, staying in New Zealand for 2 years, Bangladesh national who lived in malaysia for 12 before coming here. Gonna go for Yale after they ruthlessly rejected me last year, even though they mailed me their prospectus without me asking!!! Here's my stats:

SAT I - CR 680(big low), Math - 800, Write - 730

SAT II - Math I - 740, Math II - 800, Physics - 800

A levels - A Math, Physics, Accounting - A, AS english, chem - A
O levels - 8 As out of 8

extra-curriculars
1st XI soccerteam at school, prefect, school scholarship winner, MENSA member

Work-wise I did fast-food managing for a while, and was a tele-interviewer? yup. Now just doing some private tutoring. Coached 6 year olds in soccer, official in special olympics, did some dragonboating for school too.

My biggest problem is I don't have any really wow things, simply because in Malaysia, there were virtually nothing for expatriates, and here I'm a bit discriminated against. Right now I'm in my freshman year studying engineering, but I can still apply as freshman to Yale. Also, I'll be going ED. So whatcha think?

I hope by ED you mean SCEA.

What exactly have you done since you received your decision last year?

Why Yale? You're an engineering student...also, if they didn't even waitlist you last year, you better have a good reason for applying a second time. Any major changes? If not, I wouldn't waste my time.

Last year I did regular decision and din't get in. This year I haven't been going thru any major change because college, especially engineering, takes BIG chunk out of anyone's time. I did soccer coaching, refereeing, and became involved with habitat for humanity to relieve stress. Academics-wise, I won a scholarship to study here, but that's it. And in terms of waitlist, I was in Harvard's one last year cos I applied to them SCEA( yes, they changed it i remember, tho they had it last year too.)

I know in terms of engineering Yale doesn't fare as well as some of the other places, and I hope to use this as a strong point. Last year I made the silly decision to put in Physics as most likely major. My main reason to choose Yale is I want to go to a college where I can learn and not necessarily be taught. Then there's the crazy student faculty ratio in EECS, which I last saw was 1:1, and far more flexibility in terms of 'outside' courses( Here I take only 1 elective outside engineering).

As other strengths, I'm trilingual, and have begun taking Arabic lessons too. And music, no formal qualification, but a player-by-ear, and a not so regular singer performer in cultural programs.
