<p>Okay, Bowdoin is my number one choice. Period. I would LOVE to get in but I don’t know if I have what it takes to get in… Here’s my stats:</p>

<p>Academic Decathlon:</p>

<li>Competed in Regional and State Competitions in 2004, winning at State: Bronze in History, Silver in Interview, and Gold in Essay Competition. </li>

<p>Choir:</p>

<li>I have been a soloist on the Double Bass over 4 times for the River Ridge Jazz Choir.</li>
</ul>
<p>DECA:</p>
<ul>
<li><p>Pumpkin painted with Special Ed students in the month of October. </p></li>
<li><p>In December 2003, I participated in the “Safeway Take Over” where I job-shadowed various departments at our local Safeway Grocery store. </p></li>
<li><p>In January 2004, at Area my Sophomore year and placed 2nd Overall with two First Place awards, and went on to competing at State.</p></li>
<li><p>In May 2004, I was elected to become President of the Chapter for my Junior Year.</p></li>
<li><p>In September 2004, I set up a Fashion Show with a local owned business. This Fashion Show raised money, and collected donated items, for UCAN (United Community AIDS Network), in total we raised over $400 dollars and 600 items. I was the Master Of Ceremonies, designed the sets, wrote the script, and collected volunteers for modeling.</p></li>
<li><p>In October, 2004 I attended the Fall Leadership Conference, a 3 day training.</p></li>
<li><p>In November 2004 I held a “canned food drive” at the local Safeway Grocery Store, where we collected over 400 items for the Thurston County Food Bank. </p></li>
<li><p>In December 2004, I participated in the “Safeway Take Over” where I job-shadowed management. </p></li>
<li><p>In February 2005, I competed at the local Area competition, and received 3rd place overall with two 2nd places. I then went on to compete in State. </p></li>
<li><p>At State competition in March 2005, I was elected as Area 8 President of the Washington State Officer Team to serve 13 schools with their DECA Programs.</p></li>
<li><p>In May 2005, I attended DECA L.E.A.D.S (Leadership Education Academy) at the International Conference (Competition) in Anaheim, California.</p></li>
<li><p>Summer of 2005 I attended State Officer Training in Seattle, and Western Regional Officer Training in Portland, Oregon. </p></li>
</ul>
<p>French Class/Club:</p>

<li><p>Participated in UW Language day Freshman and Sophomore year where I could visit College Language Classes.</p></li>
<li><p>Volunteered and taught beginning French to children at Meadows Elementary School. </p></li>

<li><p>Participated in an exchange program abroad to France for 17 days, and won the national “Cher Famille” contest for letters to our host families abroad with a scholarship of $100. </p></li>

<li>Participated in making Ethnic and Cultural dishes from around the world to share in a potluck during lunch.</li>

<li><p>Read to children and helped conduct the “Thanksgiving for the Homeless” with the local Lacey Kiwanis chapter.</p></li>
<li><p>Collected Dannon lids to donate for Breast Cancer Research; over 300.</p></li>

<p>LINK Crew:</p>
<ul>
<li>Introduced 11 new freshman students to River Ridge High School and served as a mentor throughout the 2004-2005 school year. </li>
</ul>
<p>National History Day: </p>
<ul>
<li>Competed on the subject of the “Salem Witch Trials”, winning 1st place at area and went on to compete at the regional level. </li>
</ul>
<p>Orchestra:</p>

<li><p>3 year Orchestra Student.</p></li>
<li><p>1st Chair from Freshman to Junior Year. </p></li>
<li><p>Advanced to Advanced Orchestra after One Semester in String Orchestra</p></li>

<p>Safeway: </p>

<li><p>I am currently employed by Safeway from the starting date of March 15th 2005. With our secret customer service evaluations by mystery shoppers, I am 100% with 8 out of 8 mystery shops. </p></li>
<li><p>Placed 3rd in raising the most money for Prostate Cancer in the Hawks Prairie Store. </p></li>
</ul>
