HELP! My grades!!!

Ok, so I'm a sophomore this year and these are my courses.

1.Pre-Calculus HON
2.Mastery Band
3.Mastery Jazz
4.Intermediate Orchestra
5.Chemistry HON
6.American Literature HON
7.AP US History
8.French II

My goal for the semester was to make a 100 in every single one of my classes. AP classes get an extra 5 points added on at the end of the semester and HON classes get an extra 3 point added on. Here are my grades currently for Quarter 1 in the same order

1.90
2.100
3.100
4.98
5.99
6.98
7.94
8.100

Here are the problems:

My Pre-calculus grade is a 90 but i'm trying to get it to at least a 95 but with only 2 test grades left how possible do you think that is? And if its not possible, what's the highest grade I can probably get? My grade is averaged with classwork grades (which I have a 100 average) and assessment grades.
My other problem is that I have only been playing Violin for 10 months, and even though I'm doing OK in orchestra, I still want it at a 100 instead of a 98, but I'm realizing that probably won't happen, so I'm planning on switching out into another band class. If I switch into that band class I know I will make a 100.
All my other grades are fine and I'm not worried about them, except for those two classes (Pre-Calulus and Orchestra). I'm trying to maximize my chances at making a 100 semester average and bringing up my GPA from a 98.0000 to a 98.5714 (I know I did a lot of calculations) and I'm also trying to become Salutatorian (jumping from 8th to 2nd).

I really am freaking out and I need some advice please! I would like to hopefully go to HYPS. Can you help me make a plan to reach my goals. I don't want to be persuaded to give up or try something else I just want some advice on what to do?

You’re fine! Take the classes that you want! Pre-calculus is impressive enough because most people don’t do much calculus. All that music is good, too.

If you want to go to HYPS, stay in orchestra. You made the commitment and they like to see it. Stressing over a 98 vs 100 is not good- it won’t make a difference.

I agree with guineagirl96. Whether you get accepted or rejected from HYPS will not be because you got a 98 instead of 100.

bump

People are calling ■■■■■ far too easily. There is nothing wrong with this post. Next person to call ■■■■■ on this without more evidence will get a severe warning. I erased those posts and the ones responding to them. - FC

I don’t think they even put percentages on your transcript I believe…at least not for my district. But I agree with above, a 98 and 100 are very similar, both percentages count as an “A+”. Don’t worry man, you’re doing great and keep up the phenomenal work! Make sure to apply to some safeties too, not just HYPS. :)

Pre-Calculus Honors is very holistic for a sophomore, you’re 2 years ahead from an average sophomore. Just push your limits and ask your teacher what study skills or anything to maintain that A throughout the year, but don’t say that you have a bad grade, the teacher will just look at you. xD

What the, maybe your high school is different but at my school adding a - or + to your A isnt going to change your gpa its going to be a 4.0 if you get all A’s. Your doing very well and dont see why your so worried.

try going to extra help for ur math class bc usually the teacher will give hints tehre for the test or examples like it.
just study the whole packet/chapter redo all the problems.

switch from orchestra into that other band class

ur really smart imo good luck with everything!
