Help Narrow down my list! applying by September

I live in Michigan and have a 3.81 including honors credit. I will have taken a total of 10 AP/Honors classes through the end of high school. Top 15% in a class of 500; 28 on the ACT; Varsity soccer at one of the best in the state/nation; MAMUN; Student council; Ski Club; Academic Letter; Track&Field; Played soccer in Japan, Italy, Germany, Austria; Looking to go into Pre-med. I eventually want to go into surgery- Possibly cardiothoracic or neuro.

University Of Michigan
Michigan State
Wayne State
Grand Valley State
SMU
University of Texas
USC
Stanford
UCLA
U of Arizona
FSU
Arizona State
Northwestern

Help me narrow down! Anything to add/remove from the list? Reaches/matches/safeties? Better schools to set me up for Medical School? BS-BA/MD Programs

USC & NW both have BA/MD programs. 28 on the ACT will be low for both of those programs. It also is low for their “regular” programs (esp. NW). Example: D was accepted at both USC & Case BA/MD programs; she only applied regular to NW and was rejected; didn’t take the ACT but had 1490/1600 on SATs and slightly higher GPA than yours.

UCLA a stretch (GPA may be a little low if that’s “weighted”). Stanford of course a huge stretch.

I can only help with the schools on the west coast.

Umm… is that your weighted gpa? I’m goint to assume it is.

I would take stanford off- only a 10% admit rate and your scores/grades are a bit too low for that school.

UCLA is another reach esp. since you are out of state. I would choose either USC OR UCLA to apply to and not both.

Both arizona colleges you will definately be accpeted to. (safety) Just pick one of those that you like best.

Are you going to be recruited for Varsity Soccer? I assume when you say you played soccer in those places, it wasn’t simply that you played a pick-up game while on vacation.
