I am undecided in what i want to major in so i picked math/science as a major b/c of someones advice. i would like to know which of these have the best campus / dorms (theme dorms) and have the best study abroad programs and rankings. I want to cut this list to about 10 schools. i want to be close to home b/c my mother is sort of disabled so i want to be able to reach in about 2 -3 hours by car or plane. i am unsure about going to far b/c plane tickets can be expensive. i live in nyc but i am unsure of how i will feel in a rural campus but i think the suburbs is a happy medium.

please help me guys, idon’t what else to do!!

what is your GPA? Have you taken any AP tests or subject tests?
Your guidance counselor is correct about SUNY and CUNY schools since you can’t predict if the others will offer you enough FA to be affordable if you can get in.
Do you really want to go to a women’s-only college? If not, then remove Mt Holyoke, Smith and Bryn Mawr.
Some others are in the country (Colgate, Hamilton etc.) and you said you don’t want that?
You also have a bunch of really selective LAC’s but your SAT scores aren’t really high. So how many reaches do you want to keep?
Have you investigated any of these schools at all?

yes i have taken subject test.
math 1: 620
spanish:670
us history: 620

My gpa is 3.8 weighted. I don’t mind going to an all female college, i am not totally ruling them out but would prefer a coed school. yes a lot of them are not in the suburbs, but that is not a must have, or deal breaker. i want 2 - 3 reaches, 5 -6 target and 1 - 2 safety, i know he is correct about the suny/cuny schools but i have no idea which i should go to.
