@ColdinMinny Thanks for the advice! Yes, Fordham has been on my list since the beginning. The only problem is that I’m not sure whether Rose Hill or Lincoln Center would be better for me. I appreciate the opinion about Vanderbilt; I’ve always thought that Nashville seems like such a cool city, but maybe the social scene isn’t the best for someone who is unsure about a sorority. I will look into Dickinson. One of my good friends will be a freshman there in the fall.
@myjanda Yes, Tulane definitely requires some demonstrated interest. I plan to apply EA. I’ve spoken to the admissions rep there about their Altman program, and visit the website often. Thanks for the reassuring words about American and URichmond. In your opinion, would Villanova be a “guaranteed safety”? I’m a legacy (not sure if that matters) and plan to apply EA.
You’d probably like the Lincoln Center campus better. My daughter was turned off by the area around Rose Hill and she lives in downtown Philadelphia.
I think being full pay makes Fordham and NYU more of a safety but that’s just hard to say nowadays with so many apps.
Did you visit Penn? I think you might have slightly better chance with Penn ED than Columbia ED but still high reaches.
@Dolemite Thanks for the response! Yes, I visited Penn, but it was the coldest day of the winter! The campus was very pretty, but it seemed deserted; all of the students were indoors, and the tour didn’t take us inside any buildings. I told my parents that we should go back soon, since I don’t think that visit gave me a good idea of the school. I like the surrounding neighborhood a lot, though.
@bfc2017 - unfortunately Villanova is a school I have no experience with so I don’t want to steer you wrong by taking a guess, but hopefully others here will be able to weigh in.
