Help? Need a Senior Project topic

<p>We going to be starting senior project soon at my school.
For those who have never heard of senior project, we pick a topic, find a mentor who has firm foundation of knowledge in your topic, produce a product of your topic, and write a research paper on the topic. Then we present at the end of the year in front of judges.</p>

<p>My problem is that I don't have any topic ideas. I want to do something with chemistry, but I dont know what. Any suggestions are appreciated!</p>

<p>Then what would you suggest? I’m open to anything really. I only wrote chemistry because I thought i could use senior project as a way of confirming if i wanted to major in chemistry or not.</p>

<p>Does the research have to be original, or can it be just looking at a bunch of papers and writing an essay on them?</p>
