I have been accepted to a ma graduate program in econ and it starts next week. I graduated last year with a ba in econ.

I am having second thoughts, due to the financial situation, for the MA program. I will be paying the whole tuition and living expenses with a loan and money from a hopeful part time job near campus. This would add a large amount of debt (about 35k) on top of my UG debt (about 17k). I am not sure that the MA will open up new job opportunities and maybe a step into more debt instead of helping get a better job.

I have been looking for work in econ for the past two months with a very few finds. (besides the sales positions offers) I have been thinking about enrolling in accounting classes at a nearby cc and sitting for the CPA exam soon because of the job opportunities, while finding a part time job. The only problem with this option is I have a strong passion for economics and some interest in accounting.

What would you suggest I do?

Thanks for your help.
