<p>I from England too, I know if you want to attend univeristy you need to have taken the SAT's but it could be different for an exchange programme</p>
<p>I'm confused, are you talking about high school or university? By the time you're 17 or 18 you should be in your senior year of high school, right?
Anyways, you can take the SATs at any age you want, there's no limit. You can even take them in the UK.</p>
<p>If you go to collegeboard.com it will tell you where your nearest test centre is in the UK for taking the SAT.</p>
