Help needed for finding colleges.

Putting forward my stats, here are the stats in a nutshell.
SAT : 2100
CR: 650 W: 650 M: 800
About Sat subject tests, I shall update later.
GPA: 4
ECA: Volunteering works in community, Math Olympian
I want to study Theoretical Physics.
TOEFL Scores: Above the minimum requirement for Universities.
I also need financial aid. I can pay in the range of $2 to $2.5k a year. More than that is quite implausible for my family, at the moment.
It would be of great assistance to me if the people of CC help me find the colleges :)
Colleges where I may have a shot and colleges which will surely accept me ( If there exist such colleges) would be welcome :)
Furthermore, I am an international student from Nepal.
Any help is highly appreciated. :)
Thanks and regards.

Brown the section for international student as well as this one. International students needing full rides are in a difficult position. I’m not sure that amount of money will allow you to study in the U.S. as that would not really be enough for air fare and health insurance even if a college covered all your other costs. There are only 6 colleges that guarantee to cover what is called ‘full need’. Others may but it is hard to know which ones without applying. Read the international section to see what others have done. Have you been in touch with EducationUSA?

Thank you so much for your response.
No, I have not been able to do anything outside of preparing for standardized tests. I have been preparing for my sat subject test, which is in Dec 6, right now.
My family has a fixed deposit of about 10k US $, at the moment.
Will that help ?
The question is, whether I have a shot at those colleges or not. Should I apply to those 6 colleges ?

No, the chance is that you will be rejected due to low scores and unimpressive ECs. Whether need blind or not, your app is lacking many things that many other applicants have: extracurricular activities…unless you have some national.international level of awards.

With your stats, only school that can give you the most money, if you apply ASAP, is Howard University. You can get board, fees, dorm, tuition and book voucher. However, do it RIGHT NOW because it’s served for whoever applies fast.

You might also try University of Pittsburgh. They haven’t made their decisions about full rides yet.

The needs-based schools might be your best bet.

Here’s a list of schools that provide aid to internationals:

Considering your financial need, you should apply to Berea College - act quickly, since everything must be RECEIVED in January!! Only 5% international applicants are selected, but if you’re among the lucky few, the college, alumni, and generous donors garantee that you’ll get a full tuition scholarship and they will cover the costs for room&board, but you have to work (you’re paid for your work and get to add interesting skills to your resume).
