So for many of the colleges that I will apply to next year are requiring a SAT subject test in science; however, I haven't taken an AP science class because my school didn't offer any this year due a lack of funding. So far I've only taken biology and Chem honors, but I've forgotten most of the material from both subjects. Also, I really didn't like those classes, and I want to try physics. Getting to the point, I want to know if it's possible to self-study for the physics subject test in one summer and get a score of 700+. If so, then what books should I use over the summer.
Thank You!

The SAT subject tests are designed to be taken right after you finish that high school class. Go to to public library, and check out a copy of the SAT II materials, and try the Bio and Chem exams at home. Then review if you need to before you take the real exam. This will be much easier than teaching yourself a whole year of HS Physics this summer.

Go to the main page where all of the forums are listed, and scroll down until you find the exam prep forum. There will be lots of good ideas for you in that forum.

Bio or Chem honors (depending on the rigor) should be sufficient for a subject test. If I were you, I’d save the 50+ hours it’d take to study physics and take the science that you most recently took in school. Your much more likely to get a 700 in one of those sciences than you are in physics.
