<p>How would you change your major after freshman year?
Is it possible to major in Comp Sci, but minor in Comp Engineering, even though Comp Sci is in College of Computing and Information Sciences and Engineering is in College of Engineering?
What are requirements that you must have in order to change your major?
Also if you decide to transfer, is the college process the same?
How would you go about doing that?
Will there be counselors to help?</p>

<p>You can change your major by discussing it with your academic adviser and usually an adviser in the program you want to switch to. They will go over with you which credits will transfer and things like that. You will meet your adviser in orientation week. Tell him/her as soon as possible what you are considering pursuing and any questions you have, because they can make your schedule as flexible as possible as far as changing programs goes.</p>
<p>The adviser in the program you want to switch to will go through a similar process with you that they would with a new student. They look at the courses you have taken and the grades you have received, and determine if you would do well in their program. You don’t have to go through an application or anything like that. It is usually easier to switch within a college but many people change colleges (for example, some people drop from engineering to engineering tech)</p>
<p>You can minor in any program that offers one, i believe. The college its in does not matter.</p>
