no one here can tell you your chances as everyone really is guessing.

to see if you statistically hit the mark visit www.vanderbilt.edu and look for the article about last year's class. IIRC, the SAT average was 1370, about 1/3 was admitted ED, 1/4 of the class had standardized test scores over 1400 and approximately 1/3 of the class was Latino, Asian, or African American.

good luck

if you don't do as well, they only look at your highest scores.

Our scores actually seem quite similar as I got a 760 CR, 640 M, and 670 W
(just added it up, and you did better than me by 10 points :P) And I'm retaking the SATs in oct. I believe I heard that they take only the highest scores for each section. I think that retaking it would be the best decision because there's always the chance that they'll have questions that you might do better on or easier reading selections (or other things of that nature, I'm sure you get the idea).

My son applied ED last year but was rejected. By the time the decision came he was relieved because he decided he'd rather attend NYU (where he goes now). His stats were: GPA 3.8 UW-SAT-720M, 600V, 660W, 750 Math SAT II, 29 ACT, top 8% of class- good ECs, NHS, excellent bass guitar player, great recs, tennis team. There is no telling what the adcoms are gonna do but DON"T apply ED unless you are absolutely sure of your decision. My son thought he was sure - we even went to visit Nashville-but things change for 17 yr olds- even in a matter of a few months. He is VERY happy in NYC.
