Help! No idea where to go to college

Vandy is a great choice for her. Perfect size and great pre-med program. Vandy wants to expand its diversity numbers. Vandy also meets 100% of need w/o loans - so she’d go there for free.

She does need to get the NCP waiver since dad is not in her life.

Good luck to you! You’ll do great!

Holy Cross and Tufts-both in the Boston area-have great pre-med programs.

Union and Ursinus have good records of preparing students for medical school.

Any options for state universities that would be good, also? I visited University of Iowa, but I thought it’d be a little too big, and I’d like somewhere warmer. Suggestions?!

So for all of those who helped me narrow my choices down on where to apply, here’s an update. I got into all of the schools I applied to with the exception of waitlist at WashU.
I got into U of Rochester, Vandy, and Wake! I’m very excited. Now, I have to decide where to go. Help would be GREATLY appreciated at this time!!

Are you still planning on going on to Med school? If so use the costs to decide. Keep the costs down during undergrad because you’ll pay through the nose later.

Erin’s Dad is right. Keep costs down for med school.

If your parents are paying for undergrad, ask them if they’ll help you with med school, IF you go to a less expensive undergrad school.

If you’ll need to take out loans for any or all of your schools, go to the one that requires the smallest loans.

What is the financial impact for each school?

Actually, I got a full ride to Rochester (Rens scholar)! And, I would only have to pay 2000 at Vanderbilt! (Vanderbilt has a larger airport, so I would spend 2000+ coming home from school each break if I went to Rochester). So, the price isn’t really the issue right now!
