I need help determining whether or not my SAT scheduled for Saturday is cancelled. The county that I live in closed all school activities for the weekend, but the college board has yet to update my specific testing center. My mom says that there is probably some sort of delay, and that I should consider the test cancelled. What do you guys think?
P.S.- I tried calling the CB, but the line was super busy.
did you contact the main office or the regional office? Because the main office is REALLY busy right now with the PSAT alone. Best advice: contact your regional office if possible. If you can’t get through then keep checking the CB website for updates. If your school building is closed - it’s closed. However, in some cases students have been re-assigned to another building nearby so that’s why it’s so important to make sure you check the website.
I’m sure it will all work out - though you definitely have a good reason to be a bit concerned! Good luck and stay warm and off the roads as much as possible!
Last year (Fall, 2014) and the year before ((Spring, 2014) my daughter’s CB tests were cancelled due to weather events. She got emails both times, alerting her to the cancellation, I think one came the morning of the actual test, and then a few days later after each test date informing of the reschedule dates.
@NorthernMom61 This is exactly why I was worried. I got an email earlier this afternoon telling me to get ready for the SAT, so i’m a bit confused right now. I’m gonna call the regional office right now, and hopefully i’ll get an answer.
I got an email from college board to get ready for the SAT and new jersey doesn;t even show up on the college board site but my school called, announced/ posted on their site that it was rescheduled. So check your testing center directly not college board, I think college board is too busy to give you answers.
@Yugimoto yeah, but just be patient. I JUST received an email saying my SAT was cancelled, even though the schools shut down yesterday afternoon.
Thank you for all your help everyone!
You should call the testing center where the test will take place. It might be too late to call right now, so you should try calling tomorrow morning about whether or not they will still administer the SAT test. Also, try looking through social media and on the news.
