HELP!!!! NYU vs. Wesleyan

I have to decide which school im gonna go in 5 days. I got waitlisted in Wes. and i got accepted. Wes. is giving me $ 30,000 and NYU is $ 15,000.
I got accepted to combined degree program(7 year dental program) in NYU and really want to go there. But the problem is money. Wes. is attractive because of the scholorship but i'm not sure if i would like that school when i go there. And which school is more easy to get good GPA?

Yea, I don't sense a great curiosity about wesleyan, judging from any of your prior posts. Most of your doubts about NYU center around your ability to achieve the requisite gpa. I would say, ignore those doubts; you will do whatever it takes at NYU. And, Wesleyan wouldn't necessarily be any easier.

definitely go to Wesleyan if money is a concern.

I would go to Wesleyan anyway too but you seem to like NYU more.

These are two completely different schools. A school in the biggest city in the world, and a school in what felt like the smallest city in the world.

I'd do NYU and some loans if you had to. If you're going to be a dentist... what're a few student loans?

NYC: "...biggest city in the world"?

NYU also equals worst college experience anywere.

I would agree with slipper and have written that exact same sentiment on many threads discussing NYU. However, I feel anyone interested in NYU must have vastly different priorities in what they're looking for in a college experience. To me, the community, environment, campus feel of Wesleyan would be far superior to NYU on an even-money basis, nevermind a better financial package. You can always go to NYC for grad school or to live after college, but it's a very unique opportunity to live in a nurturing atmosphere that's not in a city during the college years.

gellino speaks the truth. You will have the rest of your life to wallow in the big exciting "real world" and NYC. Your 4 undergrad years are probably the only opportunity you'll ever have where you can focus on studying and having fun and not much else. NYC doesn't seem like a good place to do that to a lot of people.

I personally agree with the above two.. You've got plenty of opportunities to live your life in NYC, but NYU won't ever provide you the experience that Wesleyan would give. And let's say, NYU isn't the best college for studying, isn't it? :-) Even regarding money, think about all the things you could do with 15,000$..
