Please i need some help on this. The propmt is "was American society, as evidenced by Wethersfield, Connecticut, becoming more democratic in the period from the 1750's to the 1780's with reference to economic distribution, social structure, politics and religion?" So basically show if all this things were becoming more democratic or not. I got the body paragrahps down with the help of my teacher, but i need help on my intro and conclusion. How should i make the reader attracted to my essay and how should i end it? Please give some tips. Thanks

What I’ve been taught is the the intro and conclusion are not as important and do not have to be flashy. I would just come up with some opening sentence the outlines the issue, then take a side, then outline the main points I would argue, and then make a strong thesis statement on one side of the issue (that basically ties the whole paragraph together. Then in the conclusion I would just make some broad statements about the issue and its historical context, list my points to reinforce the argument, and make a closing statement similar to the thesis.
