Help on convincing my parents on my school decisions

So, I've been thinking for a couple of months now that boarding school might be the option. So today, I was looking at a school across the country from where I live. It's pretty close to some of my responsible relatives. Close enough that, if I lived with them, I would be a day student. My parents will probably raise the argument of me become a day student at this school when i tell them about it, and I need some good points to bring up. Here's what I already have

-Being a day school student wouldn't give me all of the opportunities a boarding school student would have at the school

-Being a day student wouldn't prepare me for my future independence like being a boarding student would

-Being a day student would be harder for me because i wouldn't be able to for as many friendships at the school as i would as a boarder

-If I were to live with my relatives, they would have to have guardianship over me (i think...correct me if I'm wrong)

Any more?

Boarding is considerably more expensive than day student would be. While there are advantages, the disadvantage is pretty big.

…Unless your family is financially comfortable
