Estimate the income tax your parents will pay for 2008 using their 2007 IRS Form 1040A, line 35 and 2008 pay stubs and other financial documents.

On line 35 on our tax return, it shows "0." However, on my parent's W-2s there is a different value for federal income tax. What should I put? I when input 0 it won't let me submit my profile!

First of all, your parent's W-2's show how much federal income tax was withheld, not how much they paid. If they owed "0", you will see further down on the 1040A that they received a refund of the federal tax withheld. So don't worry about that.

Next, are you absolutely sure that they won't let you submit the profile becuase of the "o" value in the income tax paid?? Do you get some time of a message highlighting that question?

If the "0" value is the problem, this is what I think may be the problem. (keep in mind that when I did the profile last year it was using a 1040, so the questins on my profile are different):

Is it possible that your parents had more taxable income in 2008, you entered this as estimated wages. The reason I ask this is because if they earned more money in 2008, and you entered the adjustments from 2007 (ie standard deduction and any credits), they may owe a tax this year and if the profile calculates this it may realize that the "0" is wrong. I wish I could be of more help, but without knowing the exact numbers this is all I could come up with.

do you have another sibling or parent already in college? Not sure how you would have education credits at this stage if you haven't started college

In your original question you stated that with the "0" you could not submit the profile. If it lets you submit, then do it. You can always change it later since you may have to make other correctins anyway.

Two of my sisters are in college already. I think I can still submit it, but I havn't tried though. When I put a value it showed my final preview of the form, but when I input 0, a question popped up and asked me to correct it so I didn't proceed after I saw that.
