Haha, I know it's a bit late to start the app now...
I'm applying RD for Princeton and confused on the "tell us your favorite blah blah" questions. Are they just simple answer questions or do I need to explain why they are my favorite? Can there be more than one? If I explain them, how long should it be? I know.......... it's a stupid question...........

How did you guys do it?
Being truly yourself or throwing in some random stuff that sounds wayyy intelligent? Haha, hope everyone who had applied EA recieved a good news!!!

the ED class of 2010 posted what we put for that section in the "Princeton 2010" forum, under "Just for fun-- What did you guys put in the "hodge podge" section of your app?"
but yes, "be yourself." I saw this as a chance to show myself as a real person, someone they might want on campus, who will enhance the university's dynamics...not some boring nerd who reads SAT prep books and listens to mozart 24/7 (i'm not bashing classical...I put prokofiev).
They know you're smart, now show them what you enjoy doing for fun.

Be yourself!!!! Please don't try to sound over-intelligent. Honestly, I put Pirates of the Carribean as my favorite movie. I got in. I think this section is a test to see how real and down-to-earth you are. Show that you're comfortable being a teenager as well as a student.

alright... but it seems like everyone does classical, or light mellow movie soundtrack stuff. i dont feel like early chili peppers is what theyre asking for :

i put finding nemo as my fave movie, facebook as my fave website, and "Real World" byt MB20 as my fave recording, and i still got in, so honestly i dont think theyre "looking for" a specific type of answer

Lots of people are still faithful to xanga. I'm not on myspace, but when it first came up around my school it was mostly just a site where random people you didn't know found your profile and told you you were hot -- not sure if that's still the stigma attached to it, but I thought the idea was kinda dumb.
