Currently I am a freshman in college but I came in with a good amount of credits so that next semester I will start taking major specific class instead of General Education classes. I am aiming towards an Advertising/Public Relations major. I am most likely going to do multiple minors, or double major. I'm not sure what to do though. For minors, possibly Hospitality Management, Psychology, Film-Cinema Studies, Event Management, or Health Services Administration (I would choose a few from these categories). Double Majoring is also an option, but I'm not sure what would be my other major since I already had such trouble deciding on my first major.
Can anyone give me some advice on what to study? Like what minors and majors would go well with an Ad/PR major?

My other question is, I know that nothing is set in stone and things may change, but this is ideally how I would like my life to turn out.
I would live in a big city, preferably New York City and work in an Ad/PR job focused on promoting film(however I am not opposed to other categories like Fashion, TV, Hotels, Hospitals, etc.). I am hoping I would live comfortably. Not be rich, but have money to enjoy things I like. The thing is, I feel like after reading about it so much, that what I described is almost unattainable. New York is an expensive city to live in, and I hear Ad/PR pays pretty poorly in the beginning, plus it is highly competitive. It's a bit discouraging.

What I want to know is, is my dream future attainable?
People say all the time that living in NYC is impossible, but then how do all the other people who live there now do it?

Thanks so much for the help!
