Help on picking a college for a computer science major

There are two schools i was accepted to for computer science that I am considering. Indiana university and Mcgill university.
While the dream is to go to Mcgill, it's really expensive for an international student. If i went, i'd have to take out quite a lot in loans which i would rather avoid. Indiana, on the other hand, is offering me a lot of money in scholarships and i wouldn't have to take out any money. For computer science majors, is your undergraduate school important? Is it worth it to go to Mcgill over indiana?

Also-- do most computer scientists attend grad school?

Thank you!!

I have seen computer scientist from all kinds of school. I know guys who came from schools which I would consider low tier schools and do just fine. And most people I know in CS do not have graduate degrees.

As for Indiana and McGill, I don’t think it is worth it to go into major debt. Look at it this way. If you had to borrow $40,000 and pay it back over 10 years, the principal alone will be $333/month. That’s a car payment.
