Help on the UVA Supplement!!!

<p>My goal is to major in business... the school of commerce is transfer only. I need to select the undergraduate program to which I am applying to on the supplement... which do I choose if I plan on applying to Mcintire later on? The options are Arts/Sciences, Nursing, Architecture, and Engineering. PLEASE HELP!!! The only one that makes any sense at all would be arts/sciences because that seems the most generic, but the essay prompt for this school is asking about what piece of art/literature/math/music/science has surprised or challenged me in some way... this really doesnt seem applicable to a business major...</p>

My only concern now is about the school specific essay prompt… its asking what specific work of literature/music/science/math has affected and challenged the applicant the most… im not really sure how this is applicable to a business major… do i just pick a book or something and go for it?</p>

<p>You need to put some thought into this. Don’t just pick any book. This isn’t an off the cuff personal statement.</p>

<p>Remember that you aren’t applying as a business major. No one is.</p>

<p>Although I’m hoping to become a business major, I just wrote mine on a math problem, just because it was really interesting to you. As long as you answer the prompt, you should be fine.</p>

<p>P.S. Arts and Science, and after 2 years you apply to the business school.</p>
