So far I’ve taken the old SAT, the new SAT and the ACT once, and done decent on all of them. I’m not sure which one to submit though.
Old SAT:
800M/660CR/800W
New SAT:
770M/730R
ACT:
35C/35M/36R/35E/34S and a 23 Writing
I was thinking that I should submit my old SAT and my ACT because the bad reading in the SAT cancels with the good reading in the ACT and the bad writing in the ACT cancels with the good writing on the SAT. Will colleges look at it this way or will they see me as bad in both reading and writing if I send both?
Overall your ACT is your strongest score. ACT Writing is virtually irrelevant. It’s not at all unusual to have a 23W with your ACT Composite. For the old SAT, some colleges place more emphasis on M+CR, so your 660 could hurt you in those cases. Your new SAT is strong (I’m assuming that you didn’t take the essay, since your didn’t mention it), but it doesn’t add anything new to your ACT scores. Your 35C is better than your 1500, and some colleges will simply take the stronger set of scores. You’ve got an excellent set of scores for colleges that want all test results.
@TestRekt oh yeah i did take the essay in the new one. I guess ill check which colleges care more aabout M/CR than the entire SAT for the old one, and send either the ACT or the ACT and old SAT based on that.
