<p>I see two perspectives to these arguments. One side, I understand where Homer is at, where he is stating he has a chance still to get in (which is the truth), and how others are hounding him down. Yes, in a way, the people “attacking” (emphasize the quote) Homer have a point that your chances are very slim. But, at the same time, Homer, you’re sort of asking for that treatment, especially since you’re stating again and again that “THANK GOODNESS MY EXTRACURRICULARS ARE AWESOME” (hyperbole, forgive me if it offends you). I personally believe that you can only claim such thing if you’ve won like World level science olympiad, or was like a winner/finalist in Intel (or one of those crazy competitions).</p>
<p>I just don’t think it is really necessary for people to randomly post, saying that they were “amused” by this thread. By how it seems, it doesn’t seem to be a ■■■■■ post, and I just don’t think it’s right to post such thing.</p>
<p>Anyhow, no need to reply to my post. just stating what i personally thought, and just wish everyone (who applied to harvard) the best of luck.</p>
