Help out a deferred applicant?

<p>I was deferred from my top choice and I am thinking of writing a letter to my admissions officer. The thing is, I don't know when I should send this letter. Would it be better for me to send the letter ASAP or should I wait until mid-January so that I can send the updated list of activities/awards along with my letter? Should I also send the letter via e-mail or should I use snail mail?</p>

<p>Wait until mid-January and send the note along with your updated list. Makes no difference if it’s snail mail or email, although many colleges store everything electronically, so email might be handier.</p>
