Help out your poor man

Alrite guys, im gonna be full on honest here. I used to study in Australia for until year 10, and moved back to South Korea this year (start of year 11 - January)

My grades in Australia were alright, but the Australian grading system is completely different to the US, and somehow the international school that i attend to here in Korea transferred my grades weirdly and my GPA was on 2.9. However, this semester I was able to get a 4.0 GPA and I am hoping to maintain this. I have 3 semesters left and I doubt I can improve my GPA much, but I think I could get around 2300 (maximum) on the SAT if I try really hard.

I really want to get into the University of Chicago, but since it's so competitive I'm starting to freak out. I wanted to ask a few questions regarding the UoC.

What is the acceptance rate?

How high is the acceptance rate for international students?

Although my cumulative GPA is low overall, seeing the trends and improvements of my GPA, is it possible for the University of Chicago to accept?

How high should my SAT score be for the University of Chicago to accept me?

Does University of Chicago look at SAT II scores?

I'm thinking of majoring business, what are other schools that offer a good business/commerce course and that I can realistically go to?

THANKS GUYS :D

19%: Extremely low…of course, it might have something to do with recruiting a bunch of unqualified applicants to lower the percentage. Either way, it’s still very selective.

Don’t know about this, but on the link I just gave you, there should be a link to the school.

Upward trends are always good. You should explain your circumstances to them though.

CR: 700-780 M: 700-780 W: 690-770

I’m pretty sure they do. They consider your highest scores too, by the way.

I’m bad at answering these types of questions. I hope someone else will be able to answer it.

Actually, the U of C acceptance rate for 2011 fell to 15.8%. Send out enough spam mail, get enough unqualified applicants to apply, and you too can go up in the USNWR rankings.
