HELP! Peterson's Ultimate ACT Tool Kit

I think I may have found my answer from browsing around, but I would like some feedback here.

I have the Peterson's Ultimate ACT Tool Kit prep book. (2008 ed.)

I found it very strange that I got a 21 and 22 on the English section from taking two of the three practice tests, but on the two legit ACT tests I have taken (March and June of 2009) I scored a 26 and then a 31 respectively.
This can't just be me having an off day when taking the practice tests, right?

I looked around and I saw a few comments on amazon, etc. that this book is full of errors and such. Is this true? Please elaborate if you have had this book or just know about it. I'd like to know if it's a waste of my time to take any more practice tests from the Peterson's book or not.

Thanks!

bump. thanksss.

well to be honest
I checked out the book from library
and didn’t even glance at it after skimming through a couple pages

I would put my faith into princeton/red book (and of course real ACT’s) than anything else

What about the 5 practice tests book from Sparknotes?

I tried even to use the Ultimate one, but it didn’t help at all. I think the Real ACT is much more helpful. If you want to go deeper or gain more knowledge, use the Barron’s 2007-2008, which is more complicated.

Yes, I have this book too. And I understand, the English section of this book is way too hard!
