Help please...Business School for transfers

Hi everyone. Please please read!

I'm supposed to transfer to UNC this fall. I'm a Business Administration major and I plan to apply to Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
As you might know, I have to spend one semester in the College of Arts and Sciences and in the meantime apply for admission to K-F, which is highly competitive.

I need to satisty the business prerequisites during my first semester. In my particular case, I'll have to take:

ECON 410--Some advanced Micro-Economics class involving Calculus, model-building and God knows what else

BUSI 101-- Accounting for Management

STOR 155-- Statistics

MATH 232-- Calculus II

I've always been an A student, good in Math alright but no prodigy.

Considering that do you HONESTLY believe it's possible to pass these classes taken all at the same time with A's and B's? I know GPA and performance in classes are not the only factors, but they are probably the heaviest!

If I get a rejection from K-F, I dont know what I'll do. I do NOT want a back-up plan. I dont want to be an Economics major or a Management & Society major, or any other path people there take when they get rejected.

I feel so confused.

If I go to UNC I'll be taking a huge risk. But if everything goes well and I get in K-F, the pay-off will be marvelous.

If I dont get in K-F, I'll have lost the opportunity to go to another Business school in a university that accepted me in my state (Florida International University) with A LOT less reputation than UNC but still with a very good business program and guaranteed entrance to the Business school.

What should I do?? What would you do??? I have asked so many friends and family for advice with so many mixed opinions that I honestly dont know anymore, I'm about to cry.

Considering that UNC is academically pretty rigorous, and that’s a pretty math heavy load…it would be rough on anyone who is not a math whiz.

To be blunt, I do not honestly believe you’d be able to handle the load well. Not only is it a math heavy load, and you mentioned you’re not amazing at math, but you’re also adjusting to a new and more rigorous school. Considering how determined you are on your major plus judging by your even making this post means you’re having some doubts, I would NOT recommend UNC for you since you are so dead set on what you want to do.

Sorry for being harsh, but I figured that’s what you’re looking for.

Saphire,

I wrote a pretty long response here, but I’m editing it out because this is a public forum and I believe what I have to say is better served in private so check your PMs.

I hope it helps.

Thanks so much to both of you for reading my rambling :)

BarkingatHeels: Don’t apologize! I do have doubts  and I appreciate your honesty very much. Honesty is what I asked for. I love your nickname by the way, made me laugh.
