Help please! Decision time!

Hello everyone!

As the college decision time comes to a close I am still undecided on where I want to attend! I am deciding between UMass Amherst and St. John's University in Queens. The money doesn't matter by the way. I visited both colleges and felt pretty good about both of them. I wish umass was the size of St. John's because that would be perfect! However I do realize umass is a better school but it is also a farther distance from my hometown. I don't want to feel overwhelmed. The dorms in St. John's were great! The ones at umass I like as well only because you can have one roommate as opposed to a suite at St. John's with 8 people but I don't really mind that! I want to be able to get a great job when I graduate college and I am worried that if I go to St. John's I won't get as great as a job as I would at umass. The dining halls at umass were also amazing! I didn't see the ones at St. John's but I'm sure that doesn't quite matter to me! I just want to be successful and not overwhelmed when I go to school. I am a mid to high 80's student and I want to be a great student in college! Please let me know and help! Thanks!

My son goes to UMass and while it wasn’t his first choice, he loves it. I went to SJU for ,y masters and while it is a great school I think I would pick UMass. UMass has a lot of resources for students who are looking for a small school feel. Have you thought about living in a RAP? He lives in one for his major and it allows him to live close to the buildings where his classes are and live with people who are studying the same things as him. There are so many programs for students at the dorms, trips, theme nights that it really helps to create a community for the students.
