So hello people! I am currently a senior from Myanmar. While I do not have a good GPA, I think my SAT is somewhat decent and now I am frustrated by getting a rejection letter from Fordham yesterday. Aside from that, my counselor crushed my hopes of ever getting into the top 50 schools in US. As most of my schools are based on the top 50th, I have to change my college list and find new universities I can apply to. So here is a quick summary of my situation and I would like to know where I have a chance of being admitted. (I want to study Business Administration)

What’s the education system in Burma- do you guys take GCSE’s and A-levels?

I attended an American-type high school so it is all letter grades and we follow AP

So, your family will pay full freight?

If so, I’m pretty certain Alabama would accept you. Alabama has a very good B-school…Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business

Are you sure your parents can afford full-pay at american universities?

If you’re a girl, you may have a chance at Mount Holyoke College.

Yes I am pretty sure and no I am a male

Did you try the college search engine here on CC [College Admissions, Search, and Financial Aid Help from College Confidential - College Admissions, Search, and Financial Aid Help from College Confidential](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_search/index.htm)
There are probably lots of schools you can get into, but is there some cutoff point (based on rankings) at which your family would not be willing to pay?
Some state universities would work since you are not looking for financial aid, UMass Lowell is an example.

UC Irvine and Santa Barbara could be possible. Only chance with a top 50 school.

Thanks you teenbodybuilder! I have already applied to UC Irvine and Santa Barbara. I also threw UCLA into the list just to try my luck. BeanTownGirl, my family is big on education so I think they are going to pay for any and all amount of fees

UC does not look at freshman year - this should help you. UCLA is still a stretch, though.

Teenbodybuilder, although I wish I can get into UCLA, I put in UCLA just to try much luck!

bump and thank you for all those who have helped me!
