Help Please. I'm Lost!

Can anyone please explain to me any aspect of the essay/application process? I'm lost with everything that has to do with it. Thanks.

do you have any colleges in mind? If not, you should probably analyze your SAT test scores, gpa, rigor of course work, and see what colleges fit your profile. Do not rely on websites like ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ because they are sooo inaccurate. Contact your guidance counselor and ask him/her for suggestions. In the mean time, make a resume/log of all the ECs you do, for how long, and any positions/leadership role you held. Also make a list of awards you won and when.

If you have some schools in mind, see if they require the common application. If they do, you can register for the common app online at www.commonapp.org. You can also just view it if you don’t want to apply for it (it’s free to fill out. The only cost is the application fee cost to the college you are applying to itself). Look at the essay questions and see which one you want to fill out. I have no clue where to start with the essay, because I myself am trying to figure what to write about, but look for some samples online.

You should start asking two teachers (who know and like you) for letters of recommendation.

Where exactly do you need help? If you want to post your stats, I can recommend some colleges.

I am looking at Mizzou, University of Illinois, University of Kansas, University of Iowa, and maybe Wisconsin at Madison. I’m really confused with the common application essay, and basically anything other than simply filling out the online application. Thanks for the response.

The common application provides several prompts to which you are supposed to respond. The trick? Pick one and respond.
